■Container terminal

With development of international trade, the Sendai-Shiogama port is very important position as a broader-based distribution center in Tohoku(northeast)district.
Aiming at tightenning faculties, port maintenance have been advanced as a container terminal ,and the Sendai-Shiogama port becomes the biggest container terminal port in northeast area.
Now, routes from Sendai-Shiogama port to North America, Southeast Asia, Ｃｈｉｎａ,
South Korea, and domestic feeders are established.
